Taylor Swift reportedly ‘frustrated’ over limited time with husband Travis Kelce following short honeymoon
Taylor Swift is reportedly struggling with the fact that she doesn’t get much time with her husband, Travis Kelce, after their brief period of newlywed bliss came to an end.
The couple enjoyed some uninterrupted time together after their highly publicized July wedding, but Kelce’s return to Kansas City Chiefs training camp has allegedly left Swift wanting more time with him.
Swift misses their time together
“She is frustrated because football is taking up so much of his time – he works overtime – causing them to not see each other a ton, and she would like more,” an insider recently told the Daily Mail.
The source added that although they are not together daily, they prioritize seeing each other every week. Maintaining their connection remains important despite their demanding professional lives.
Their honeymoon period was brief
After their Madison Square Garden wedding, Swift and Kelce reportedly spent quality time together, including sleeping late, exercising, and traveling.
However, this period ended when Kelce returned to practice with the Chiefs in late July.
Since then, Swift has often had to manage her schedule without her husband by her side. The insider claimed Swift particularly misses everyday routines they shared as newlyweds, including working out in the mornings and preparing meals together.
They stay connected while apart
Despite the distance, the couple reportedly stays in frequent contact through phone calls, text messages, and FaceTime. Kelce also sends flowers to Swift when she is traveling.
The source said both understand that their careers can keep them apart, and neither expects the other to give up their independence. The source noted, “They just deal with it. They know they both have massive careers, and they love what they do, so they give each other freedom.”
Swift continues her busy schedule
While Kelce focuses on football, which many expect could be his final NFL season, Swift continues to travel between Los Angeles, New York, and London. The insider said, “That girl does not really sit still, she has tons of energy. She had to hit parties, perform and do interviews without her husband by her side.”
The separation may continue into September. Swift may attend the Emmy ceremony on September 14, while Kelce is scheduled to be in Kansas City that night for the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos.
She understands his football commitments
Although Swift reportedly misses having Kelce around, “she understands he is putting in the hours because he wants to be his very best this season,” according to the source. The insider added that Swift does not want Kelce to feel bad about being away and was aware before their marriage that football would remain a major part of his life.
“She knew what she signed up for, she knew he would be at practice after they got married. She knew the honeymoon would be short so she can’t complain at all, and she doesn’t want to guilt Travis. That is not her deal, she never shames or complains,” the source told the outlet.
