Tate McRae and Olympics hockey star Jack Hughes SPLIT after he saw ‘red flags’ in singer
Tate McRae and Olympic gold medalist Jack Hughes have reportedly split.
Page Six reported on Friday that NHL star Hughes, 25, has been telling his friends he was the one to call things off.
Hughes, who scored the winning goal in overtime of the gold medal game against Canada at this year’s Olympics in Italy, allegedly pulled the plug because he saw ‘red flags’ in the Canadian singer.
However, sources close to McRae, 23, insist she was the one to end things.
The couple were first spotted on a dinner date at Anton’s in New York City’s West Village back in November before being seen on a stroll weeks later.
Hughes was reportedly the instigator and was the one to message McRae first on social media. According to Us Weekly, McRae and Hughes started ‘exclusively’ dating each other in March.

McRae was also seen at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey watching Hughes play for the New Jersey Devils.
But things clearly went downhill quickly and rumors of a separation emerged this week when McRae was asked about speculation that she is a MAGA supporter.
That stemmed from Hughes’ hockey exploits after he and his USA hockey teammates were filmed laughing at a joke made by Donald Trump about the women’s hockey team.
The president was heard saying when inviting them to Washington DC: ‘I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that.’
He then added: ‘I do believe I probably would be impeached [if not].’
Several men’s players apologized over the interaction with Trump, while stressing that they share a close bond with the women’s team. Hughes insisted the men’s and women’s players are ‘tight’.
The men’s team visited the White House when they returned to America and were also Trump’s special guests at the State of the Union Address on February 24.
In response, McRae told Variety: ‘I like to say my piece through organizations I support and the environment that I have on tour.
‘I think it’s pretty obvious what kind of person I am and the things I support.
‘And I hope that my fans can see that through the things that I’m putting my energy towards.’
