For the third time, emergency responders arrived to a scene with no chance to revive anyone.

Muscatine police received a report of a shooting at a residence on Park Avenue at 12:12 p.m. local time on June 1. When officers and emergency medical personnel got there, they found four victims inside the home. All four had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

After that, officers searched for him and located McFarland on the Riverfront Trail near a pedestrian bridge. Muscatine Police Department said he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
