Stib will donate unclaimed items to Les Petits Riens

Brussels public transport operator Stib will donate unclaimed property found on its network to social enterprise Les Petits Riens, it has announced. Les Petits Riens has a total of 27 shops and describes itself as committed to the fight against poverty and to supporting people in vulnerable situations. Through its activities in the social economy, it creates, among other things, employment opportunities and avenues for socio-professional integration, while making high-quality second-hand items accessible to a wide audience. “Thanks to the work of our organisation, 75%

of the donations collected are given a new purpose,” said Catherine Lambrecht, responsible for outreach at Les Petits Riens. Dozens of items are found on the Stib network each day: from a rucksack or pair of glasses to more unusual items. In 2025, this amounted to more than 11,000 items. Stib centralises these items to enable their owners to collect them. The lost property office is located at Botanique metro station.
