Star Wars Zero Company hits August 27 after leak

A release date for Respawn’s single-player turn-based strategy Star Wars Zero Company has leaked ahead of its Summer Game Fest gameplay reveal, with August 27 now pointing to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

On a Friday that’s already packed with big reveals, one key detail landed early: Star Wars Zero Company now has a leaked release date—August 27.

The game is set to show up at Summer Game Fest in a world gameplay premiere during the main Summer Game Fest showcase on Friday. That much was confirmed by the official Summer Game Fest account on X on Wednesday, setting the clock for when players will finally see it in motion.

But before the showcase, a Dealabs writer named billbil-kun—known for previously accurate leaks about upcoming software and hardware—shared the date and platforms. In that report, Star Wars Zero Company is scheduled to launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Pricing also appears to be on the table. The leak says there will be a Standard Edition priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles. It also points to a digital-only Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles. For players who want the physical Standard Edition. there’s also described as an option to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition.

Even with the editions laid out, one detail stands out: billbil-kun reportedly confirmed there will be no early access for the game.

The timing matters because Star Wars Zero Company was first announced at Star Wars Celebration in April 2025. Development is credited to Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, with EA handling publishing duties.

The description that came with the announcement paints a specific kind of experience: a single-player. turn-based strategy set during the twilight of the Clone Wars. Players take on the role of Hawks. a former Republic officer who leads an elite squad of operatives from across the galaxy—operatives who must set aside their differences while facing an emerging threat that will consume the galaxy if it’s left unchecked.

The game’s own description also lays out the gameplay loop: “In Star Wars Zero Company. players will embark on a campaign of tactical operations and investigations across the galaxy.” It adds that between missions. players develop a base of operations and gather intelligence through a network of informants to stay one step ahead of Zero Company’s adversaries. It also says players will have the freedom to create and customize their own squad of recruited operators while getting to know a cast of newly authored Star Wars characters.

With the Summer Game Fest showcase approaching on Friday. the leaked launch date turns the reveal from a simple first look into a countdown—one that already has a specific day attached. Now the remaining question is whether what’s seen in the gameplay premiere will line up with the scope implied by those missions. investigations. base-building. and informant-driven intelligence.
