The San Antonio Spurs on Friday signed former Indiana Pacers guard Taelon Peter to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, giving the 2025 second-round pick an opportunity to compete for a spot during training camp.
Peter was selected 54th overall by Indiana in the 2025 NBA Draft after playing at Liberty University. The 24-year-old 6-foot-3 combo guard appeared in 38 games for the Pacers as a rookie, averaging 4.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.6 minutes per game. He shot 38% from the field, 32.8% from three-point range and 62.5% from the free-throw line.
Before joining San Antonio, Peter competed in the NBA Summer League for Indiana. He averaged 10.4 points in 24.3 minutes while shooting 50% from the field. The Pacers waived him after their Las Vegas Summer League run while making room to re-sign forward Jalen Slawson.
Peter was much more efficient from three at Liberty, where he shot 45.3% from beyond the arc during his senior season.
The Exhibit 10 agreement brings Peter to Spurs training camp without guaranteeing him a regular-season roster spot. San Antonio has already committed its three two-way positions to 2026 second-rounders Ja’Kobi Gillespie and Maliq Brown, along with returning two-way player David Jones-Garcia.
Peter’s addition gives the Spurs 18 players on their training camp roster. San Antonio can carry 21 players during camp before reducing the roster to 18 for the regular season. Training camp is scheduled to begin on September 29.
