Solo Leveling Ragnarok Returns With Yen Press Dates

While Solo Leveling Season 3 still lacks an official announcement, Yen Press has confirmed concrete 2026 launch dates for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok—after the spin-off manhwa went on an indefinite hiatus in January.
More than a year after Solo Leveling Season 2 finished its Jeju Island Arc. fans are still waiting for the next step from the anime studio. At the same time. the spin-off manhwa Solo Leveling: Ragnarok—illustrated by Jin—has been on an indefinite hiatus since January. Now there’s at least one clear sign of movement: the first volume is available for pre-order. with a timed release set for later in 2026.
Yen Press has opened pre-orders on its official website ahead of the English print launch of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. The first volume will officially launch on July 21st, 2026, followed by the second volume on October 20th. Pre-orders are also available for the second volume, though Yen Press has not yet revealed its cover.
The hiatus has been part of the reason fans have felt stuck in limbo. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok began publishing shortly after the main story’s ending. The manhwa debuted in 2024 and quickly became a major hit until Jin left to serve mandatory military service. Because the service period lasts 18 to 21 months. fans can expect the manhwa to remain on hiatus for at least two years. and possibly longer.
The franchise’s pause has only sharpened interest in what comes next. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok’s story begins with celestial Supreme Beings creating multiple universes and watching them. They used the constant conflicts and wars among mortals as amusement—until one Supreme Being was killed by its own creation. The plot then shifts to Sung Jinwoo and Cha Haein’s son, Suho, in an alternate timeline.
In Suho’s world, gates and monsters dominate daily life, but his version of it looks almost normal at first. He lives as an ordinary college student while his parents went missing before the gates started appearing three years ago. Even so, he often dreams about beating up monsters and leveling up like a video game. Those dreams become more than fantasy when a sudden monster outbreak hits his campus. forcing him to awaken his powers through the system.
From there, Suho embarks on a quest to conquer the Shadow Dungeon and face brutal challenges from cosmic beings, with the mission to keep the world safe.
The sequencing of these franchise breaks has left fans juggling two different kinds of waiting. The anime still hasn’t been officially renewed for a sequel after Season 2 wrapped the Jeju Island Arc more than a year ago. and there’s been no official confirmation of a Season 3 announcement—only rumors about possible timing. Still. the story direction is clear on what Season 3 would have to deliver: it would continue Jinwoo’s journey as an S-Rank Hunter and introduce several new characters. including the powerful National Hunters.
Some of the biggest questions also remain unanswered from the Jeju Island Arc, including the true goal of the two Monarchs who appeared at the end.
With Jin’s military service extending the manhwa’s downtime and the anime still waiting on an official word. the July 21st. 2026 and October 20th. 2026 release dates may be the closest thing fans have to a schedule they can hold onto right now—especially as Yen Press readies the English print editions that began with pre-orders on its official website.
