The NBA Finals are shifting to New York, and the scoreboard reality is starting to loom. The Knicks have a 2-0 lead after winning the first two games 105-95 and 105-104. Sling subscribers can catch the game on ABC without buying another package. Sling says it has partnered with ESPN so fans can log into ESPN using their Sling account information as their service provider and stream the game on ABC. Sling adds that this approach works for subscribers on different access options. including those using a 1-day. 3-day or 7-day pass.
Game 3 specifics are straightforward: it airs on ABC on Monday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game is at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The wider Finals plan is part of the pitch. Sling says all seven potential NBA Finals games will air on ABC, which is typically only offered in select locations on Sling—but the ESPN login method is designed to open that access for subscribers.
The schedule listed for the series keeps rolling through New York and then back again if the teams extend it:

For fans watching at home. it turns the Finals from a “which service has it?” scramble into a single login decision. right when the Knicks are already two wins away from taking control of the series.
Sling NBA Finals ABC ESPN Knicks vs Spurs Game 3 Madison Square Garden streaming pass
So you just log into ESPN with Sling and it’s free? Kinda wild.
Wait I thought ABC wasn’t included in Sling in most places, so how does it magically work now. Seems like a loophole or something.
Madison Square Garden prices for tickets starting at 5,578?? I’m pretty sure that’s why the Spurs won game 1, lol. Anyway if Knicks are up 2-0 then I don’t even care about ABC streaming.
They say “no extra subscription required” but I don’t trust it. Like you log into ESPN with your Sling and it unlocks ABC, but then later it’ll ask for some pass or it won’t work during the game. Also 8:30 ET Monday June 8—doesn’t that sound like the wrong year or something? Either way I just wanna watch without messing with logins.
