Sky slashes iPhone 16e to £16 over 36 months

Apple fans can snap up one of the tech giant’s ‘premium’, yet more affordable iPhones for a bargain as a major retailer unveils an unexpected spring deal. The price cuts have just landed at Sky Mobile, where shoppers can pocket £60 off the budget-friendly iPhone 16e. Normally costing £17, it’s now available for £16 when spreading the cost over 36 months, delivering a total saving of £60. This works out at roughly 51p per day across a 31-day month. Launched in 2025 as part of

Apple’s ‘e’ range, the iPhone 16e was created as a more economical option compared to the company’s premium iPhone collection. It’s described as offering ‘powerful capabilities at a more affordable price’, featuring top-tier specifications including Apple’s A18 chip, Apple Intelligence and a 48MP Fusion camera. Additional highlights include a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR display, an impressive battery life delivering up to 26 hours of video playback and 4K video recording with Dolby Vision capability. To grab the reduced iPhone 16e deal, customers simply need to

pay £12 upfront and combine the handset with a Sky data package. These packages are currently half price for three months, with choices including 10GB at £7 (usually £14) to 50GB at £10 (was £20). A comparable offer exists for Apple’s slimmest-ever device, the iPhone Air, which Sky has marked down to £24 (was £27), reports the Express. Customers should be aware, however, that Sky’s monthly charges ‘may change’ throughout the minimum contract period. Meanwhile, those shopping at Mobiles.co.uk can secure a shorter 24-month agreement

for the iPhone 16e at £23.99 monthly with a £9 upfront payment. While pricier than Sky, this package includes a 500GB data allowance at no extra charge. For those who’d rather purchase their devices outright, retailers such as Amazon and Argos are now selling the iPhone 16e for £499, reduced from its launch price of £599. Technology Editor David Snelling tried Apple’s iPhone 16e for himself and was impressed by its ‘premium design’. “There’s no question that it’s a very nice device,” he said. “It

gets a premium design covered in toughened Ceramic Shield glass and surrounded in aero-space grade aluminium.” “There’s a soft matte finish on the rear case that looks stylish and stops those mucky fingerprints from ruining the look. Under the hood is a supremely powerful A18 processor, which is not only blisteringly fast but also offers access to Apple Intelligence. “Other features that have impressed us include a decent single-lens 48MP camera, very long battery life, and bonus extras such as SOS satellite text messaging and

crash detection.” Dave also pointed out some areas where the iPhone 16e is lacking, adding: “It’s a good phone but it does lack upgrades such as Apple’s clever Dynamic Island notch which transforms to show information as you use different apps and services, there’s no MagSafe charging and the Ceramic Shield glass isn’t the latest version found on Apple’s more expensive models. “The single rear snapper isn’t as good as the other iPhone 16 models, and you don’t get the Camera Control shutter button, which

is now found on its more expensive siblings. If those extras don’t bother you, then the iPhone 16e is worth considering, especially when you look at the deals available right now.”

  1. £16 over 36 months sounds good but it also sounds like you’re basically renting it, not buying it. 51p a day like cool but I still feel trapped.

  2. Wait so it’s £17 normally but now it’s £16? That’s like a whole pound. They’re acting like it’s a massive deal lol. Also “may change”?? nah.

  3. So you pay £12 upfront and then you need a data package that’s half price for 3 months, right? I don’t get why people don’t just buy unlocked. Like the 10GB for £7, then after 3 months it’s double and you’re stuck.

  4. I swear these deals are always a trick, because the phone is probably 17 quid but the contract is where they make it up. Also the iPhone 16e with A18 and 48MP sounds fake, like how is it “budget” but still has all that. I saw something about the iPhone Air too, £24?? idk.
