Severe thunderstorms move toward Northeast Wisconsin by evening

Rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are set to sweep through Northeast Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon and evening, with damaging wind gusts and large hail the main threats. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, and localized flooding is possible as storm
A storm line was already pushing in from the southwest by 1 p.m. Wednesday, and the next several hours are when Northeast Wisconsin is expected to feel the impact.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast to sweep through the region Wednesday afternoon and evening, with the sharpest threats coming between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are expected to be the primary dangers as storms move northeastward and intensify.
Even with those higher-probability hazards, the forecast still carries a second, more uncertain risk: an isolated tornado threat that cannot be ruled out. The areas with the greatest severe threat are expected to be where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is currently in effect.
The picture is not limited to one wave, either. Additional thunderstorms could develop along a cold front later this evening.
For many people, the most immediate change has already been felt in plans. Some events have been canceled because of the forecast storms for both Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
If you’re heading out or just moving through your day, the core message is simple: keep multiple ways to receive warnings, and pay close attention as the storms shift. And if it’s safe to do so, share what you’re seeing—any photo or video of local weather conditions can be sent for others to view.

Tornadoes again? Wisconsin can’t catch a break.
Why does it always say “isolated tornado can’t be ruled out” like ok cool thanks. I just want to know if the roads are gonna be flooded or not, I’m not trying to play weather roulette.
Watch is already in effect so that means it’s basically guaranteed, right? Like if they have a watch that’s the same as a warning, that’s how it’s always felt to me. I’m staying home but I don’t even know what counts as “damaging” wind.
They cancel events for this and then it’s like a random storm line comes through and everyone pretends it was expected. Also “localized flooding” could be anywhere, my neighbor said it’s just rain but the article keeps mentioning flooding from storms… so which is it? If there’s hail I’m glad I’ll be inside, but I swear they say “sweep through” every time and it never sweeps the whole area the same.
