During the course of that investigation, two firearms and ammunition were seized, police added. As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old man from Seeley’s Bay has been charged with: luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication; invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age; possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material; unauthorized possession of a firearm; and unauthorized possession of a weapon. The accused was initially remanded into custody, and has since been released. He is scheduled
to appear in court in Brockville on June 26. Police were not releasing any other details of the incident in order to protect the identity of the victim. Two guns and ammo too… wonder if that’s why they charged the weapon stuff but the child luring is just the online baiting. Also “possession of child sexual abuse material” like was it already on his phone? I mean they say no details to protect the victim but still, seems like there should be more info.
I saw this and first thought it was some kind of dating app thing, like he met a kid and then it escalated, but now it says “invitation to sexual touching” which sounds like messages?? Wild that police just took firearms and then let him go. Hope they actually keep him away from kids till court.
