Security at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island Pad Ahead of Wedding

Security spotted – Security activity at Taylor Swift’s $18 million Rhode Island estate—visible driveways, armed guards, and rooftop guests—has fueled fresh questions about whether her upcoming summer wedding to Travis Kelce will be staged there, or somewhere else.
For a few hours on Wednesday evening, Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home looked less like a private retreat and more like the kind of place where plans are in motion—quietly, but unmistakably.
Security was spotted outside Swift’s $18 million estate on Wednesday, June 17, TMZ reported. The outlet described a security detail in the driveway as the “gate opened and an SUV with tinted windows” exited the property. An armed guard, TMZ claimed, “stood by the gate” until it closed.
The attention didn’t stop at the curb. There were also reports of two “armed guards with huge binoculars” watching the beach area outside Swift’s mansion.
The uptick in activity reportedly began around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, when an eyewitness told TMZ they saw lights on throughout the pad.
Swift and Travis Kelce. both 36. are expected to tie the knot this summer. according to sources previously shared with Us Weekly. But the new images and movement at the Rhode Island home have left plenty of uncertainty. Is it wedding planning—strictly?. Or is it a wedding-related event like a bachelorette party?.
That guess has gained traction because video footage published by TMZ from Wednesday night showed four unidentified women on a rooftop balcony at Swift’s mansion. In the TikTok clip. three women were shown wearing black robes. while the fourth—blonde—wore white. hinting at a possible bachelorette party for the bride.
A separate video showed a red-haired woman on a patio overlooking the home’s grounds. The footage said she appeared to be Swift’s childhood best friend Abigail Anderson Berard. She was holding a small child, which some fans think could be Berard’s almost 2-year-old son, Bennett.
None of it confirms anything official. Us Weekly has reached out to Swift’s representative for comment.
The Rhode Island question has already been complicated. Swift and Kelce’s wedding festivities were previously said—by sources shared with Us Weekly—to be split between the singer’s Rhode Island estate and Ocean House. a five-star seaside resort nearby. One insider said the guest list grew. so “the ceremony and private gatherings associated with the wedding [will be split between the venues]. ” while noting Swift “may still have other places in mind.”.
Even so, the venue debate has never fully settled. After Swift and Kelce got engaged in August 2025, rumors began to circulate about both the date and location. In April. an insider exclusively told Us that the couple—“both involved and making decisions together”—were “focused on actually enjoying the process rather than getting caught up in the pressure. ” adding that they were “keeping things light.”.
This month, other speculation flared. There were reports earlier this month that Swift and Kelce could be saying “I do” at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Multiple outlets reported in June that Swift and Kelce were looking at a July 3 ceremony in the Big Apple. but the couple have not publicly addressed the chatter.
On Tuesday, June 16, Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse—70—told TMZ DC, “I don’t know about that,” when asked about whether Swift and Kelce were getting married in his state.
The timing of Wednesday’s security sightings—and the sudden visibility of women on the mansion’s rooftop balcony and patio—has now turned the spotlight back toward Rhode Island. Whether it’s preparation for a ceremony under the same roof. or simply the lead-in to another celebration away from the public eye. the details are still being guarded as tightly as the gate itself.

So are they blocking the whole beach now?? That seems wild.
I swear every celeb wedding turns into a whole security state. Like it’s either a bachelorette thing or she hired guards to keep away paparazzi… but TMZ always makes it sound like a movie.
Those binocular guards sound like straight up spy stuff lol. But wait… if the gate opened and an SUV left, doesn’t that mean it’s already over? Idk timing is weird in that article.
People are acting like the security means it’s definitely at the Rhode Island place, but it could be like rehearsal or something at the same address? Also the robes on the rooftop… bachelorette? Could be a costume party? I can’t tell. TMZ just wants clicks.
