Scooter Braun and Sydney Sweeney Disappear into Times Square

Scooter Braun, 44, and Sydney Sweeney, 28, took an incognito ride through New York City’s Times Square on Sunday, May 31, wearing disguises and quickly moving through the crowd—while sharing the playful moment online.

Scooter Braun knew the timing the second he hit “post.” It was Sunday. May 31. and in an Instagram video that clocked in at the kind of secret-errand energy you can’t fake. the 44-year-old music producer filmed himself and Sydney Sweeney as they biked through New York City’s Times Square—so disguised that it looked like no one around them even bothered to look twice.

The whole thing started with a joke. “When you’re in bed at 11pm and your girl says ‘I’ve never been to Times Square….’ 😂,” Braun captioned the clip. Sweeney, 28, replied with a shrug and a burst of affection—“🤷🏼‍♀️🥰🥰❤️.”

In the video, the two “blend in” tactics were unmistakable. Sweeney wore a blue hoodie and black sunglasses. Braun kept his face under a gray hoodie, paired with a green baseball cap underneath. Braun even addressed her on camera—“Hey Syd”—as Sweeney stuck her legs to the side and smiled for the ride.

Then they stopped like tourists do, only they were playing a different game. The pair sat down as Sweeney ate a burger before walking around Times Square. Braun captured the moment as Sweeney sang along to Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind. ” and the actress posed underneath an American Eagle billboard that featured a clip of her for her campaign.

The Times Square trip landed in the middle of a broader shift in how their relationship has been playing out. The two were first romantically linked in summer 2025. when they were spotted walking through Italy together while attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding. In the months since. they’ve continued to be seen together. including a report that the couple are slowly “blending their lives.”.

A source exclusively shared that their relationship has moved beyond “just a fling.” The insider said, “They are the real deal, and their relationship has become very serious,” adding that people around them assumed it would be temporary—but “they are committed.”

The details of that commitment showed up in how each person’s world is meeting the other’s. The insider said Sweeney “really appreciates Scooter’s support with all her projects” and “loves hearing his feedback.” Braun. the source continued. is “emotionally invested in her career and wants the best for her.” Sweeney’s reaction. according to the insider. is simple: she finds that interest “very endearing. ” and she “feels loved and appreciated by him.”.

The same source said their momentum has extended to family introductions. “Scooter has brought his kids around her,” referring to Braun’s sons, Jagger, 11, and Levi, 9, and daughter, Hart, 7. Braun shares those three children with ex-wife Yael Cohen. whom he split from in July 2021; their divorce was finalized the following September. Sweeney, meanwhile, has had Braun meet her brother, Trent, who “thinks he is a great guy.”.

“He is emotionally invested in her career. ” the insider said. but the bigger message was how both sides are folding into each other’s routines. “They are slowly integrating their families and blending their lives, making the relationship more serious,” the source added. It’s a pace that matches how Sweeney is feeling too: the insider described her as “a hopeless romantic at heart and likes being in a committed relationship.”.

Against all that, the incognito ride through Times Square looks less like a disguise for anonymity and more like a quick escape—two people choosing privacy for a few minutes, even as they document the moment for anyone watching closely.

  1. Times Square is basically impossible to not get recognized in lol. The whole “incognito” thing sounds fake, like somebody tipped off the crowd.

  2. So he rode a scooter? I thought it said scooter but then it’s bikes?? Also why are they even “disguised” when everyone in NY minding their business anyway. Instagram clocked it?? idk sounds like they wanted the spotlight

  3. This is the most rich-person Times Square activity ever. Like burger, hoodie, sunglasses, “blend in” yeah right. I saw this on my feed and assumed it was some undercover ad or something, not just a couple messing around. Also Sydney Sweeney in a burger line while Scooter’s wearing a hoodie like a spy… okay
