Schroder trolls Cavs after Knicks loss with 0-2

Schroder’s Instagram – After the Cavaliers fell 109-93 to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Dennis Schroder posted an Instagram caption reading “0-2.” Fans didn’t let it slide—turning his quick post into a fresh round of criticism as Cleveland sits down
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still processing what happened at Madison Square Garden on Thursday—another bruising night that ended with a 109-93 loss to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
For Dennis Schroder, the game appears already to be in the past.
Schroder came off the bench and logged 18 minutes, finishing with four points, four rebounds, and three assists. His defensive assignment was mostly Jalen Brunson, and he spent much of the evening trying to disrupt the Knicks’ lead guard. For stretches, it looked like he was doing his job.
Then Brunson took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points and helping put the Cavs away as Cleveland suffered a one-sided defeat.
By the time Schroder’s teammates were already dealing with the swing—Cleveland had also blown a 22-point lead in Game 1—Schroder posted anyway. A few moments after the loss, the 32-year-old veteran shared pictures of himself on Instagram with a simple caption: “0-2.”
The timing didn’t land well. Fans turned the post into a target, with some questioning why he would update social media while the team was still in the middle of a playoff skid.
“Why are you posting when the team is struggling?” wrote @tommymaroon2.
“SON, the game JUST ended,” @joeylevi2 added.
Others piled on harder, including @pravidemic_, who wrote: “Three people on the hit list now: James Harden, Kenny Atkinson, and Dennis Schroder. COZ WHY DO YOU KEEP POSTING AFTER LOSSES?”
There was also plenty of sarcasm.
“Damn, bro updating the series score faster than ESPN,” commented @sanjaybelani1.
“This is why you get traded every season,” @sexmoneydrugz7 added.
And @fendifavorite went as far as referencing a recent comparison from the game: “You genuinely went to IG after being the closest thing we’ve seen to Solomon Hill.”
If the Cavaliers hoped to move quietly and refocus after going down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, Schroder’s caption made sure the conversation moved fast in the opposite direction.
Cleveland has yet to find an antidote for the Knicks. With the series now bearing down at 2-0, the next games won’t leave much space for distractions. Whether Schroder can use the flood of criticism to sharpen his mindset remains to be seen—but for now. the notifications and the backlash are only growing.

Posting “0-2” is wild lol like read the room man.
I mean I get it’s just a caption but cmon, team just got cooked 109-93. Why even do that right then. Focus up.
Also why is everyone acting like he’s the only problem?? Brunson scored like a million points in the 4th but sure blame the IG post. Feels like people just waiting to be mad. Next game he’ll probably shut everyone up and they’ll still find something to complain about.
Dennis Schroder should’ve been thinking about defense not social media, but honestly this is the same thing as when someone posts during a work meeting. Like yeah technically it’s not “illegal” but it looks bad. And didn’t Cleveland already lose like 2 in a row in the regular season too? Maybe this is why they’re cursed.
