Young told NBC7 that one day the entire family was together in the living room when they heard a voice coming from the camera. She said they recognized the voice as the ex-wife of her fiancé.

After that, Young said her family checked their accounts and learned the ex-wife was signed in on several of Young’s devices. The family filed for a restraining order, and Young’s household has since moved to a new home and replaced their Ring cameras.

“We tried so hard to try to restore the peace, the security, the privacy,” Young told NBC7. “Once you are robbed of that, it’s almost impossible to try to restore that in your home.”

Young said her family plans to pursue legal action in civil court as well.
