KSAT Connect users in San Antonio shared their Spurs pride as the team headed into its decisive matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fans decorated homes and posted Spurs-themed gear, from T-shirts to hats, all aimed at making one point clear: Silver and Black isn’t staying quiet now.
Inside KSAT’s newsroom, anchor Sarah Acosta and meteorologist Sarah Spivey took the Spurs celebration to the studio during GMSA. They lit Spurs-themed candles, and Acosta said the ritual was tied to a simple belief—every time the newsroom lit the candles and kept them lit, the Spurs won.
“We did not forget today, and they’re going to stay lit in our newsroom,” Acosta said.
The excitement isn’t just online. Western Conference championship gear is also being readied for distribution at some local Academy Sports + Outdoors stores if the Spurs win Game 7. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Wait i thought Game 7 was in San Antonio not OKC? Like why are they lighting candles in a studio if the team’s playing away anyway. Also the article says if they win they face the Knicks in 2026 NBA Finals?? That’s so many years away it doesn’t even make sense
