On Sunday, June 14, the 22-year-old actor and the 23-year-old actress stepped out for day five of the 2026 Taormina Film Festival in Taormina, Italy. The pair were photographed on the red carpet as Iris turned heads in a DÔEN dress, while Sam matched the occasion in a black tuxedo look.
Later that same day, they were also seen attending the Night 5 cocktail reception.
Just a couple of days earlier, the couple was spotted holding hands while walking the streets of Taormina. They later sat down for lunch at Ristorante La Botte. with Sam dressed in a blue shirt and red shorts. paired with flip flops. Iris kept things bright and casual in a white mini dress, a blue cardigan, and blue flats.
Their Taormina sightings land after a quieter stretch on the public calendar. The last outings MISRYOUM has seen for Sam and Iris were back in March, when Sam showed up to support Iris at her Pretty Lethal premiere during the SXSW Film Festival.
Nearly two weeks before that, both were in attendance at the 2026 Actor Awards. Sam’s show, The White Lotus season three, was up for several awards there, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Now, as Taormina rolls on, Sam and Iris are back in full festival mode — red carpet tonight, cocktail reception later, and a city stroll in between.

They’re holding hands in Italy and suddenly it’s news like the airport footage of 2019. But yeah the tux and dress combo is kinda cute. Also Taormina sounds expensive.
Wait this is the couple from The White Lotus right? I feel like Iris Apatow is the one from some show too but I can’t place it. The article says black tux and also blue shirt and red shorts? Like was he in two different outfits the same day or am I mixing stuff up.
Red carpet in Italy for day five… so what was day one thru four then, like hiding? I don’t really care about cocktail receptions unless somebody spilled something. Also “MISRYOUM”?? is that like a person or a typo or what because that made me lose the plot. If Sam’s show got awards that’s cool but I only looked at the clothes honestly.
