Sabrina Carpenter Wins Her First Emmy for ‘The Muppet Show’ and Shares Her Reaction | Just Jared
Sabrina Carpenter is officially an Emmy Award winner!
The 27-year-old entertainer picked up her first win on Saturday night (September 5) at night one of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards for The Muppet Show.
While Sabrina acted in the Disney+ variety special, she actually won the award as an executive producer!
The Muppet Show won Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), with the award going to the producers.
The half-hour special, which debuted earlier this year on Disney+, also picked up the awards for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Variety Special, and Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special.
Matt Vogel was nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for voicing Kermit the Frog, but lost out to Julie Andrews for Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton.
The morning after The Muppet Show won the Emmys, Sabrina took to her Instagram story to celebrate.
“Thank you @televisionacad So incredibly proud of the whole muppets crew on our Emmy wins!!!!! A lot of love and happiness and hard work and diva fights went into making this special,” she wrote.
Sabrina‘s Emmy win for the special as a producer now puts her one step closer to achieving EGOT status. She now holds the EG for Emmy and Grammy, the latter of which she has two!
