RotoBaller’s ‘Who Should I Pickup?’ Tool Goes Live

RotoBaller has rolled out its new, free “Who Should I Pickup?” tool for fantasy baseball. It lets users compare up to four MLB players side-by-side using weekly projections, waiver wire rankings, injury-driven updates, and recent news to make add/drop decision
When fantasy baseball waiver decisions feel impossible, the hardest part isn’t the list—it’s the comparison. RotoBaller is leaning into that weekly pressure with a free tool built specifically for the moments when you’re stuck between a few names.
The “Who Should I Pickup?” tool is designed to help managers decide who to add or drop during the waiver wire season.. It’s built around a simple idea: compare players in the same place, using the same inputs.. Users can “drill down” into waiver wire rankings. projections. and recent news side-by-side—then move through the add/drop calls without bouncing across multiple pages.
The tool is updated regularly each week.. That matters because the recommendations are tied to injury reports and staff waiver wire ranks. with weekly projections and rest-of-season outlooks also included.. RotoBaller says its weekly projection view is based on a variety of factors, including the team’s opponent.
This year’s version comes with “recent improvements. ” including a new tool experience aimed at giving more information while you’re making those add/drop decisions.. The update adds MLB player tiles with headshots and bye weeks. enhanced search results so players can be compared more easily. and a new interface.
Using it is straightforward: if you have tough add/drop decisions or can’t decide between a few players. you can compare up to four MLB players at once.. The tool supports multiple matchup types as well—whether you’re looking at pitchers. hitters. shortstops versus outfielders. or any other combination—so you can weigh options based on how they fit your roster.
Players can be selected using the search boxes. by choosing player names from the top waiver wire rankings lists. or by clicking on popular searches other readers make within the tool.. Once you compare the players. the system presents RotoBaller’s fantasy baseball waiver wire recommendation on who you should add or drop.
In the side-by-side view. users can see the staff’s waiver wire rankings. projections. recent news. and strength of schedule for each player.. And the whole comparison experience is positioned as fully free. with RotoBaller pointing out that the tool allows comparison of more than two players at once—something it says other websites don’t offer.
For fantasy managers, the appeal is obvious: fewer tabs, clearer comparisons, and recommendations that update alongside the weekly churn of injuries and waiver priorities. The waiver wire doesn’t wait. Now, the comparisons don’t either.

So basically it tells you who to pick up? Cool I guess.
I don’t get why this needs an entire “tool.” Like just check the standings or whatever. Also “updated regularly each week” sounds like it’s late to everything anyway.
Wait, is this for MLB fantasy or regular baseball? Cuz it says compare up to four players side-by-side but my league only lets you drop one at a time so I’m confused. And “strength of schedule”?? baseball teams don’t even play the same teams that much lol
I tried one of these before and it basically just says the popular guy anyway. But they added “bye weeks” and headshots like that changes anything. The injury-driven updates part is what scares me, because last week I picked someone and then they got “injury news” two days later and I got screwed. Probably still helpful though if you’re glued to waivers.
