Rookie WR Makai Lemon returns to Eagles practice

Eagles wide receiver Makai Lemon was back on the practice field Thursday.
Lemon was in pads for the second day of joint work with the Patriots and that marked the first time in more than two weeks that the first-round pick did more than side work during an Eagles workout. Lemon had been sidelined by a hamstring injury.
At a press conference before practice, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked what he wants to see from the rookie between now and the start of the regular season.
“I talk a ton about making sure that we’re all on the same page,” Sirianni said, via a transcript from the team. “Everyone knows their job description. It’s building trust within that and it’s the fundamentals and all those different things. I wouldn’t say I have anything that’s a check mark or anything like that. You know when you know and there’s a feel to it, and I know he’s working like crazy to get back.”
Lemon will have a little more than three weeks to get up to speed for the start of the regular season and will need to make the most of that time in order to make an early impact for the Eagles.
