The first thing you feel with Portola’s 2026 lineup is the timing: the festival saved its biggest gravity for Saturday—Robyn and Dog Blood—then shifted the center of the world to night two with Swedish House Mafia.

Portola announced the lineup for its 2026 edition on Thursday, May 28. The first night will feature Robyn and Dog Blood—Skrillex and Boys Noize—both performing on the main stage on Saturday. Swedish House Mafia will headline night two.

Beyond the headliners, the lineup widens into a full-spectrum dance calendar. Zara Larsson, Tove Lo, Ninajirachi are set to appear, alongside the Portola debut of Tiësto and a live set from Four Tet. Soulwax returns, and so does James Murphy’s club tent valhalla Despacio.

The bill also includes DJ sets and global scene staples: Soulwax, Kettama, Skepta, Mochakk, and a DJ set from Spice Girl turned DJ Mel C. Groove Armada and DJ Shadow will be in the mix as well—Shadow performing at the fest amid the 30-year anniversary of his game-changing 1996 LP Endtroducing…..

Portola’s roster extends further with Channel Tres, Parcels, Fcukers, Brunello, Bassvictim, Prospa, Fatboy Slim, and the return of Soulwax and James Murphy’s club tent valhalla Despacio.

The festival returns to San Francisco’s Pier 80, where it has happened annually since launching in 2022, on Sept. 26–27. Tickets are available now.

Behind the scenes. Portola’s founder and Goldenvoice senior vp of talent Danny Bell has tied the lineup approach to time and attention—not just taste. In March, Bell was named Billboard’s 2026 dance executive of the year. In comments tied to that recognition. Bell said the festival’s major lineup comes together through a methodical process involving “a lot of long nights and self-torture … I take my time. but I like having conversations and trying to understand everything going on with the artists each year.”.

He added that Portola isn’t simply booking acts. “It’s not just that we work with these artists. ” Bell said. “it’s how we collaborate on production and marketing or come up with creative ideas for additional plays. Artists are interested in playing and creating a moment because of the care and the brand we’ve built.”.

That message has also landed in City Hall. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie has been an ardent supporter of Portola and other Goldenvoice dance events around the city. In remarks shared in connection with the festival. Lurie said “Danny Bell and his team are bringing energy to San Francisco. drawing music fans from around the world and reminding people that our city remains a global destination for arts. culture and music. From Portola to major performances at the Moscone Center. Danny’s events are drawing people back downtown. supporting local businesses and revitalizing neighborhoods across San Francisco.”.

For Portola regulars, the dates are already circled. For new attendees, the booking reads like an invitation—Saturday’s dual spotlight on Robyn and Dog Blood, followed by Swedish House Mafia’s night-two headline at Pier 80 on Sept. 26–27, with tickets available now.

  1. Dog Blood and Swedish House Mafia in the same weekend?? I’m already confused and I haven’t even bought tickets lol

  2. So it’s at Pier 80 Sept 26-27 right? I saw a headline about “dog blood” and thought it was like… some weird theme thing, not actual DJs. But Robyn too?? That part makes me want to go.

  3. Wait Swedish House Mafia is night two and Robyn/Dog Blood on Saturday? That’s cool but why is it like one day is all big names and the other is like “global scene staples”?? Also Tiësto debut?? I swear this lineup keeps changing every year.

  4. Portola always sounds wild, like “Despacio” and “enduring 1996” whatever, but I just keep thinking about the “Dog Blood” name… are they really just gonna play music or is this one of those festivals where they sell mystery energy drinks too. Pier 80 is kinda far from where I live, so idk, maybe I’ll just listen on YouTube instead. But Fatboy Slim being on the list is tempting.
