Reese dominates Sky again as Dream stun 82-75

Angel Reese took control against her former team, finishing with 17 points, 17 rebounds, and four assists as the Atlanta Dream beat the Chicago Sky 82-75 at Wintrust Arena.
Angel Reese didn’t just show up for her first game against the Chicago Sky since being traded by the team in the offseason.
Tuesday night, she delivered the kind of performance that turns a “revenge game” into a statement. Reese. the former LSU Tigers star. posted a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. then added four assists as the Atlanta Dream closed out a tense 82-75 win at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Illinois.
In the postgame interview, Reese was told she had recorded the 57th double-double of her career in the league. She kept it simple. “It doesn’t matter unless I get a win,” the two-time WNBA rebounding champion said.
Reese’s numbers have come with a clear kind of impact for Atlanta—especially on the boards and in the middle. The double-double was only one night of proof. but it landed with extra weight because of what it meant: she entered the matchup with 2026 season averages of 13.3 points. 11.7 rebounds. and 3.1 assists. shooting 41.7 percent from the field.
Her three-point touch has been a work in progress. In the first 10 games, Reese was at 9.1 percent shooting from deep. Still, what she’s bringing to the Dream is harder to miss: inside scoring, physical presence in the middle, and, perhaps most importantly, rebounding.
The result moved Atlanta’s season record to 8-3. The Dream have won four of their last five games, and that run includes their last two victories.
After the win, Atlanta gets a rest day on Wednesday before turning back around for Friday’s schedule. The Dream will resume with a home game against the visiting New York Liberty at Gateway Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

So she had 17 rebounds… that’s basically cheating lol.
I saw “revenge” in the headline and honestly that’s what I’m assuming this was. Like she always shows out when she’s back in Chicago, right? Either way 82-75 ain’t exactly a blowout.
Wait she got traded *from* Chicago? I thought she was still on the Sky the whole time?? But 17 and 17 is crazy, even my cousin coulda told me that stat alone would win. Also why they keep saying 57th double-double like that’s supposed to mean something to me personally lol.
Reese is dominating? Good for her, but I don’t get the “three point touch work in progress” part… like just shoot the ball normally? 9.1% from deep sounds brutal though, but they still won so maybe the Sky defense was just trash that night. Either way Atlanta 8-3 sounds fake fast for some reason, idk.
