Red Sox’s Chad Tracy gets 100% real on fourth-straight loss

Chad Tracy is not panicking even as the Red Sox lose their fourth consecutive in a bit of a concerning follow-up to their hot streak.
The Boston Red Sox have been the best team in MLB since the middle of June, as they have boasted the best record in the big leagues since they turned things around for their season on the 24th of the aforementioned month. However, the Red Sox are experiencing a bit of a crash at the moment. They have now lost four consecutive games, including their 5-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night.
It is a bit of a concern for Boston that they have now lost four straight to teams below .500. The Athletics took care of business and won two out of their three-game set, while the Blue Jays are on pace to sweep them over a four-game series.
The Red Sox have been remarkably clutch during their hot streak, but those same hits have not fallen for them over the past four games. But for interim manager Chad Tracy, this is something Boston will have to work through, as this is part of the reality of the sport of baseball.
“Baseball does happen too. You’re not gonna get the clutch hit for six straight weeks and keep getting it. There’s gonna be times where you’re just gonna have to grind through it,” Tracy said, via NESN on X (formerly Twitter).

Boston simply may be experiencing a bit of regression to the mean, as they have relied on hitters who don’t have the longest track record of success in the big leagues to fuel their torrid streak that took them all the way to a postseason position in the AL Wild Card race.
It’s not like the Red Sox are being destroyed in their recent defeats. They have lost the past three games by a combined margin of four runs, so there’s no use for Boston to panic.
