The jet-lagged Los Angeles Rams may be missing a key piece to their roster when they make their “Monday Night Football” homecoming.
Wide receiver Puka Nacua may not see the field on Monday after Rams head coach Sean McVay said the receiver would not practice on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The Rams are set for a “MNF” matchup against the New York Giants, who are coming off an upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.
Here’s the latest on Puka Nacua’s injury.
The Rams wide receiver missed the team’s Saturday practice with what the team calls a hip injury. He will be questionable for the Week 2 “Monday Night Football” matchup.
Head coach Sean McVay added that Nacua is also dealing with a groin issue that flared up after practice on Thursday.
He also missed practice earlier in the week with a hip issue.
Nacua played in the team’s Week 1 game vs. the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, catching five passes for 74 yards in the loss to their division rival.
During preseason, Nacua was dealing with a psoas muscle issue, missing three weeks of training camp while rehabbing the injury.
