The 2026 Tony Awards took place on Sunday, June 7, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, honoring Broadway’s best shows from the past year.

Ragtime’s revival earned 11 nominations. and its acting nominees—Joshua Henry. Brandon Uranowitz. Nichelle Lewis. Caissie Levy. and Ben Levi Ross—arrived to celebrate the moment. They didn’t walk together as a single group. Each acting nominee walked the red carpet separately, with their partners and spouses at their side.

Ragtime is an adaptation of E. L. Doctorow’s classic novel, set as three fictional families chase the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century. The story centers on Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. (Henry) and his beloved Sarah (Lewis). It follows Jewish immigrant Tateh (Uranowitz) and his little girl, alongside a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother (Levy). All of them reach for the same dream—each trying to hold onto it.

The road to this Tony night has already been long. The acclaimed revival production was originally produced at New York City Center in 2024, with a closing date set for January 2026. That schedule shifted when the run was extended through June 2026. Now, the extension has been pushed further, with tickets on sale through August 2, 2026.
