Queen Camilla tells Kate and William: ‘We’re not going anywhere’

Queen Camilla isn’t planning to loosen her grip on the role—at least, that’s the message an insider says she delivered to Kate Middleton and Prince William.
With King Charles III facing a cancer battle, the expectation in some circles is that a reshuffle could be coming. But according to a source who spoke to Closer, Camilla told Kate and William to “cool their jets,” insisting there are “no plans” for her and Charles to step down.
“We’re not going anywhere,” Camilla allegedly made clear to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The same insider adds that Prince William—the father of three—has “no interest” in replacing his father and his stepmother for the time being, despite Camilla’s growing confidence after she and Charles traveled to the United States.
“[She] worked so hard to win over the public,” the source claimed, framing Camilla’s mindset as more settled than ever as she takes on an increasingly central position within The Firm.
Underneath the message about timing is a deeper strain, one reflected in a recent look at Camilla and Kate’s past. Author Christopher Andersen, in his book Kate!: The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, has described a rocky relationship between the two women.
Andersen wrote that Camilla “did not think” Kate was “up to snuff. ” pointing to Kate’s background and her marriage into the royal family. In a passage shared via Page Six about William marrying the daughter of “working-class” parents. Andersen alleged Camilla felt Kate was “below the salt” and claimed she “had no aristocratic blood.”.
The author further alleged that people “didn’t want her” because Camilla was seen as too “common” to be the wife of a future king, and that Camilla was “very cognizant” of how she believed a future English king should be paired—married to a royal personage, or at least a British aristocrat.
Read together, the claims paint a picture of two separate tensions running side by side: Camilla’s insistence that any change at the top is not on the horizon, and the long-running friction between her and Kate that, according to Andersen, never fully softened.
