Princess Beatrice ‘appears to have a close relationship’ with King Charles, body language expert claims: ‘They seem to have the same sense of humor’
Body language expert Darren Stanton says Princess Beatrice has a real bond and a similar sense of humor with several senior royals, including King Charles.
Speaking with Betfair Casino, Stanton reads Beatrice’s expressions and the king’s relaxed demeanor around her as signs of a “reciprocal and natural” connection.
He also believes her warmth toward other royals, like Prince William and Prince Harry, shows she’s becoming a bigger deal within the family.
Shared sense of humor
According to Stanton, the connection is clear in photos of the two together. “Beatrice appears to have a close relationship with the King,” he says.
“Analyzing pictures of them together, they seem to have the same sense of humour as there’s often photos of them laughing and genuinely getting on.”
While many see King Charles as serious and traditional, there’s a lighter side to the monarch. “People often misjudge King Charles as being serious,” Stanton says, “but I don’t think that’s true at all. Like the late Queen [Elizabeth], he clearly has a great sense of humour.”
‘Strong bond’
The expert notes that the way they naturally respond to one another says a lot about their bond. “You can see in their body language just how reciprocal and natural their interactions are. They often appear visibly joyful, smiling and laughing together,” Stanton says.
“Beatrice, in particular, shows genuine happiness. I’ve seen quite a few images where they’re interacting, and it’s clear there’s a strong bond between them.”
He explains that their connection is not just about how they look together. “Overall, her relationship with the King seems especially strong and affectionate. Their body language often mirrors one another, which is a strong indicator of emotional connection,” Stanton adds.
“She’s warm and comfortable with gestures like a kiss on the cheek, yet still maintains royal protocol and respect. You can see she’s very close to her uncle.”
‘Rising star’ in the family
And it’s not just the king she’s close with. Stanton says Beatrice is just as warm and easygoing with the rest of the family too.
“Beatrice comes across as happy-go-lucky and naturally warm. Her relationship with William also seems very positive. From what I’ve seen in terms of body language, there’s never been any suggestion of distance or awkwardness,” he says.
The expert also notes similarities between her relationship with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and another royal couple.
“There are also some lovely shots of her with her husband Edoardo and with Kate [Middleton]. Interestingly, she seems to be the more dynamic presence in her marriage. Not in an overbearing way, but more in the sense that Beatrice has a strong, independent character. She reminds me of Princess Anne, forthright, confident, and unafraid to speak her mind. She seems to be a bit of a rising star within the family.”
‘Close’ connection
Stanton says Beatrice has always had a playful side, especially when she’s around William and Harry. “Beatrice strikes me as someone who can be quite mischievous in a lovely way,”
“There’s an old photo of her on the balcony with William and Harry during their younger years. Even then, her rapport with the brothers was evident,” he continues. “Harry, in particular, is very tactile; he had his arm around her in one image, and you can see authentic micro-expressions of happiness and ease.”
Stanton says that when you look at everything together, it shows just how close-knit the family really is.
“Ultimately, Beatrice’s interactions show just how close she is with senior members of the royal family. The smiles are genuine, you can see it in the laugh lines and crow’s feet. It all points to a strong, sincere family connection.”
