Prince William and King Charles are ‘barely acknowledging each other’ and ‘making life uncomfortable for everyone at the Palace,’ source says
Prince William and King Charles III are reportedly letting their differences over Prince Harry get the best of them.
According to a source, His Majesty and his successor are at odds over whether to allow the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle to return to the royal fold.

After Harry and his wife visited Charles and Queen Camilla in England earlier this summer, the situation reportedly drove a wedge between the patriarch and William.
“It’s making life uncomfortable for everyone at the Palace,” an insider told Closer.
“Their advisors are still communicating, but William and the King are barely acknowledging each other, even when they’re in the same meeting,” they claimed.
William is ‘playing straight into Harry and Meghan’s hands’
While the leader of England has reportedly decided to move forward in his relationship with the Spare author, the Prince of Wales has been against reconciling with Harry.
“The situation has become absolutely ludicrous; it’s causing chaos and the fact is, it reflects badly on everybody,” the source said.
“A lot of people are saying William is playing straight into Harry and Meghan’s hands by alienating his father this way,” the insider noted.
William and Charles need to ‘sit down and face this before it gets any worse’
With Charles still battling cancer and William preparing to one day take the throne, maintaining a strong relationship is more important than ever for the father and son.
“But anyone that tries to broach this topic with him [William] is ignored or reprimanded,” the source alleged.
“People have been avoiding it for months, but His Majesty has finally agreed that it’s time they sit down and face this before it gets any worse,” they added.
William thinks Harry and Meghan are ‘plotting a permanent path back to Britain’
Following Harry and Meghan’s public criticism of the royal family since leaving the U.K. in 2020, the father of three will reportedly do whatever he can to keep his distance from the couple.
“William is convinced the Sussexes are plotting a permanent path back to Britain,” the insider pointed out.
“From his perspective, it’s deeply disrespectful to him and Kate [Middleton], particularly when he feels they’ve never received a proper apology and he sees it as incredibly dangerous for the monarchy as a whole,” they claimed.
