President Donald Trump ally Laura Loomer warns Tucker Carlson is ‘an albatross around the neck’ of Vice President J.D. Vance: ‘We want to hear a strong condemnation’

President Donald Trump ally Laura Loomer is warning that Tucker Carlson has become an “albatross around the neck” of Vice President J.D. Vance, demanding he deliver a forceful condemnation of the conservative commentator.
J.D. Vance’s closed-door meeting with the Republican Jewish Coalition
Loomer blasted Vance after his closed-door appearance at the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) in Las Vegas the previous night was leaked.
During a Q&A with RJC National Chair Norm Coleman, a former Minnesota senator, Vance was asked where he draws the line when associating with podcasters and right-wing influencers who have platformed antisemites — including Carlson.
Vance did not directly address Carlson, instead defending Republican engagement with figures such as Joe Rogan while drawing a line at Nick Fuentes.
Laura Loomer calls out J.D. Vance’s political liability
Loomer, a fierce Carlson critic, argued Vance’s response failed to address what she sees as a growing political liability.
“I’ll say this again. The Tucker Carlson dilemma is an albatross around the neck of the Vice President no matter how much he claims to oppose ‘blood guilt,’” she wrote on X. “The people don’t want to hear Nick Fuentes’s name or even Joe Rogan’s name as a deflection from addressing Tucker, who just last week said Jews have no ties to America and appropriate American identity like a stolen skin suit.”
Loomer demanded Vance take a stronger position.
“We want to hear a strong condemnation of Tucker, and while I appreciate the Vice President showing up, I predicted the reaction would be exactly what it was days before as you can see below,” she continued. “It could have been a 180 with a forceful condemnation of Tucker.”
Laura Loomer mocks J.D. Vance’s relationship with Tucker Carlson
Loomer also warned that the controversy surrounding Carlson will continue to follow Vance politically.
“It’s not going away. Every day Tucker escalates, and he’s going 3rd party to throw our country over to the left,” she told her followers. “I said this over a year ago out of genuine care for our VP. Tucker is the kiss of death and we can’t dance around it.”
She also criticized Vance’s decision to hold the event off the record, arguing it made a leak inevitable and generated unnecessary negative coverage.
Despite her criticism, Loomer acknowledged Vance received a warm reception from portions of the audience.
“Aside from that, I will say that the VP received a standing ovation by some attendees and the Israeli ambassador and @SenatorBanks [Indiana Sen. Jim Banks] had very positive comments about the Vice President before he spoke. He also received a lot of applause for his comments about immigration correlating with increased anti-Semitism,” she concluded.
