Natalie Portman is marveling over her pregnancy — and eagerly anticipating the arrival of her third baby.
“Counting the days until we meet you,” Portman, 45, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, July, 29, sharing a recently snapped maternity portrait. “Thank you [photographer] @shelbyduncan for your talent.”
In the stunning image, Portman cradled her bare baby bump on the balcony of a Parisian apartment. The actress, dressed in only an unbuttoned and oversized striped blouse, lovingly gazed at her growing belly.
Several of Portman’s celebrity friends shared their excitement to meet the Oscar winner’s little one with partner Tanguy Destable in the comments section.
“Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️,” Julianne Moore commented on Wednesday, while chef Amy Chaplin added, “So happy for you, Natalie. Huge congratulations.”
Makeup artist Jeanine Lobell, for her part, replied, “Can’t wait, love you, nicknat 😘.”
Portman announced in April that she is pregnant with her third baby, her first with Destable, 46. (Portman and the French musician known as Tepr, who have been together since 2025, each have two children from previous marriages.)
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” the Black Swan star gushed to Harper’s Bazaar at the time. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle. I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant.”
She continued, “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing. I know how lucky it is. I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”

Portman and Destable were introduced by mutual friends after the actress relocated with her children, Aleph, 15, and Amalia, 9, to France on the heels of her divorce from ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.
“I find the people here are actually incredibly friendly — you just have to know how to interact, so that we’re not the ones being rude,” Portman told Net-a-Porter in May 2025 of leaving Hollywood for Paris. “Now, when I go back to the U.S., I’m like, ‘Oh,’ I would go into a store and not say hello to everyone there? It’s weird. I think we have an assumption that western cultures are all the same and, kind of, evened out by all this pop culture that everyone consumes. It’s not true: it’s extremely specific here; and the culture is very different in both deep and surface ways.”
She added at the time, “They’re very good at privacy here. I feel like the biggest compliment is ‘elle est très discrète’ [‘she is very discreet’].”
