Pratt vows stay in politics after losing bid

Spencer Pratt’s election loss didn’t end the fight. It lit it.

In a new video titled “Saving LA – Phase III. ” the former “The Hills” cast member said he was walking back a promise to move out of the city if he lost. “You thought you could get rid of me that easily?” Pratt asked on camera. He framed the decision to stay as a refusal to let his opponents control the narrative. “I didn’t get in this for political power. I got in this to expose this corrupt machine and nothing’s changed.”.

Pratt’s message quickly sharpened into direct hostility toward the two figures who, in the end, carried the day in the race. The video includes montages of news clips, movies and videos of his election opponents—Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman (D).

As images of Raman and Bass appeared, Pratt didn’t soften his language. “Angelenos are now stuck with two morons responsible for all their problems and now have to choose between dumb and dumber. ” he said. He added a personal edge too, suggesting the election removed constraints on how far he could go. “And now I don’t have to worry about offending CNN viewers. I don’t have a campaign to hamstring me now. It’s war,” Pratt said.

The timing mattered. Pratt had entered the primary with momentum. At one point in the race, he held an 8% lead over Raman for second place in the primary. But that advantage narrowed after the election as mail-in ballots continued to be counted. During that week, Raman’s position improved, ultimately moving her into the general election in November—along with Bass.

Pratt’s video lands with the same insistence that defined his campaign, just redirected. Instead of turning away after the results. he announced he would keep pushing. and he did it in the language of confrontation—vowing to stay active in local politics while calling Bass and Raman “morons” in the aftermath of losing.

For Angelenos, the question isn’t whether Pratt is gone. It’s what “war” looks like from here, and who will feel it most—voters still weighing their choices in November, or the city officials Pratt says have not changed.

  1. I don’t even get it, didn’t he say he’d leave? Then he makes a whole “Phase III” video like it’s a TV show. Also why are we calling people morons on camera, like that helps anybody.

  2. Wait so the mail-in ballots changed the outcome or what? Feels like every election is just waiting for the ballots to magically do something. If she moved into the general cuz of counting, then he’s mad at the wrong people. And “CNN viewers”?? idk man.

  3. Pratt calling Bass and Raman “dumb and dumber” is exactly why politics is trash. But also I swear I heard he was gonna move out of LA like a year ago, so maybe this is just attention. “It’s war” sounds dramatic as hell, like bro calm down, the city isn’t a reality show. I’m still voting in November either way cuz these people are all the same.
