Perez Hilton‘s disturbing livestream has prompted a police response.

The 48-year-old celebrity blogger appeared to be harming himself in a TikTok livestream on Tuesday (August 4). Graphic clips have since been reposted to social media. The video seems to show a bloodied Perez using an object to cut himself, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Police responded to his Miami home and shared a statement with Newsweek.

According to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, they received “multiple calls” about the livestream. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies spoke with family members on scene and confirmed that Perez was alone in his home.

Read the statement below:

In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication. Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public.

At this time, deputies have tactically disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation and providing the needed support to his family.

The actual video of Perez‘s livestream appear to have been taken down, but there are still disturbing clips circulating online.

Perez Hilton was hospitalized for 3 weeks earlier this year

In March 2026, Perez uploaded a YouTube video in which he documented a hospitalization saga, saying his “stupidity landed [him] in the hospital for 21 days.”

According to the media personality, he had the flu before he was hospitalized and took flu medicine for a week, but never took it with food. Because of this, Perez said he “developed an ulcer and then a perforation and then sepsis.”

He ended up having surgery and a lengthy recovery before he was finally discharged, later saying he would use the experience as a lesson to slow down and spend more time with his three kids, Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte Amor, 8.
