Police: Missing NY woman Alisa Goods fell down Las Vegas airport embankment

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A missing New York grandmother who vanished after traveling to Southern Nevada has died, family members confirmed.

Alisa Goods, 63, had been the subject of an intensive search in Las Vegas since she disappeared on Sunday, Aug. 16.

On Friday, her family confirmed the tragic update that she was found deceased.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says on Thursday at 1:45 a.m., dispatch received a call for service about a woman found dead in a drainage ditch near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage at Harry Reid Airport.

Officers arrived and found the woman.

Police say surveillance video from the airport shows she fell down an embankment, got back up, and collapsed on August 8.

Police say she did not move after that, and her location could not be seen from the street. Early investigation identified the woman as Goods.

Goods had traveled to Las Vegas for a vacation.

According to her family, she was last seen on Sunday afternoon near East Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane.

Her family grew increasingly concerned after she missed her flight back to New York. They previously traveled to Las Vegas from New York to spearhead search efforts, distributing flyers and pleading with the public for help in locating her.

Details regarding the cause and manner of her death have not yet been released.

The family has set up a fundraiser to help with burial costs.
