Police investigate man for reported kidnapping after chase to Milton

The 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple motor vehicle offenses, police said. 

The vehicle was safely stopped by Massachusetts State Police at the intersection of Adams and Eliot Streets in Milton.

An Easton man is facing multiple charges in connection with a possible kidnapping that ended with a vehicle stop in Milton, according to a release by the Milton Police Department. 

Around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Boston police officers responded to the area of 555 Talbot Ave. for a report of a kidnapping and a woman being held against her will in a moving vehicle, police said. 

BPD officers located the vehicle on Blue Hills Park Parkway in Milton and attempted to stop it. The driver refused to stop, and a chase began, which proceeded through the Blue Hills Reservation, Interstate 93 and then back into Milton on Route 28, according to officials. 

“During this pursuit, the female occupant made gestures which indicated that she was in distress,” MPD said. 

The vehicle was safely stopped by Massachusetts State Police at the intersection of Adams and Eliot streets in Milton, and a 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple motor vehicle offenses, police said. 

Police did not identify the man.

The female victim, who was also not identified, was evaluated at the scene by Coastal Ambulance.

Police said the initial incident in Boston remains under investigation.
