‘Pod Save America’ Host Drops Dark Joke About Who — Or What — Can Stop Trump

President Donald Trump’s power, money and fame can’t stop him from facing one of life’s inevitables, as White House staffer-turned-podcaster Tommy Vietor just reminded listeners.
Vietor and his co-hosts of the progressive media mainstay “Pod Save America” kicked off their Monday episode on an spicy note, starting a mailbag segment with a listener question Jon Favreau said embodied the feisty “tenor” of the asks they get on Facebook.
“Is there anyone who can stop this orange piece of shit?” the former speechwriter for President Barack Obama read with a smirk.

“Iran’s doing a pretty good job,” Vietor cracked back about the ongoing conflict, showing he was still as quick as back in his days as a White House spokesperson.
“I think the answer’s ‘no,’” Favreau said.
Vietor then veered into dark territory, as he added, “I think, uh, heart disease, always got a shot.”
“Yeah, right,” chimed in Lovett, another White House alum who serves as the show’s comic relief.

Looking straight at the camera, Vietor ominously joked that, “Father Time will get there eventually.”
“The hardness of the veins sort of gets us all in the end,” Lovett riffed, prompting Favreau try and pivot away from all the morbidness by saying, “Anyway, uh, you know, it’s 2026, almost 2027, so pretty soon we won’t be asking that question.”
At 80, Trump is the second-oldest serving president in U.S. history, right behind President Joe Biden, who was 82 when he left office.
