Article content Members of the Onondaga on the Grand Volunteer Management Committee held a plant and yard sale at the Onondaga Community Hall on Saturday and Sunday. The event is one of many held by the committee which oversees rentals and the day-to-day operation of the hall built in 1874. The hall has a fully-functional kitchen, fully-accessible washrooms, air conditioning, wheelchair accessible entrances, parking and 100 chairs and 15 tables and is available for rent. The volunteers sold 85 plants and attracted more than 186

186 people for plants seems kinda random but good for them. Onondaga Hall built in 1874 tho, that’s actually wild.
So they sold 85 plants and that pays for the hall rentals or something? I’m just confused how a yard sale covers day to day operations… like don’t they already get rent money? Either way more AC in old buildings is always nice I guess.
Good for the volunteers but I swear every time I see “Onondaga” it’s something else entirely lol. Does the hall really have wheelchair accessible entrances AND fully accessible washrooms? Because my neighbor said places claim that and it’s still a hassle. Also 100 chairs and 15 tables… that sounds like a school gym setup, not a community hall. Anyway hope the plants did well.
