Piers Morgan and wife Celia Walden dine out in Saint-Tropez during lavish vacation: photos
Piers Morgan is taking a little break from talking about Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the royal family to enjoy a getaway with his wife, Celia Walden.
In photos obtained by Wonderwall.com, the couple was spotted having dinner at Le Sénéquier in Saint-Tropez.
Getaway
In the photos, Morgan and Walden were seated together at the French restaurant, chatting and enjoying drinks throughout the evening.
The former Good Morning Britain host kept things casual in a black shirt and fedora, while Walden wore a gray tank top with white detailing.
The dinner date comes nearly two decades after Morgan first met Walden in 2006.
The pair married four years later and welcomed their daughter, Elise, in 2011.
Morgan also shares three sons with his first wife, Marion Shalloe.
Working together
Walden, a journalist and novelist, has previously opened up about what it’s like working alongside her husband.
Walden and Morgan both work from home, though they keep separate offices with hers upstairs and his downstairs.
Walden previously told The Telegraph in August 2021 that their work sometimes overlaps.
“We’ll frequently meet by the kettle and find we’re writing about the same things,” she said. “We often disagree, but it’s all quite harmonious.”
But when it comes to his wife, Morgan has shown there are some things he won’t brush off.
In March, he abruptly ended a live interview with controversial influencer Harrison Sullivan, a.k.a. HSTikkyTokky, after Sullivan made crude comments about Walden.
Royal commentary
The Saint-Tropez outing may have given Morgan some time away from work, but by Tuesday, August 25, he was right back to talking about the royals.
The broadcaster took to X to celebrate a milestone for The Royals Uncensored, a digital show that is part of his media venture.
Morgan shared a link to the latest episode, which focused on Prince Harry and Meghan’s return to the U.K. He also revealed that it had become the most-viewed episode of the show so far.
“This latest episode of The Royals Uncensored is the most-viewed in the show’s history. Thanks for watching, and congrats to the team!” he wrote.
‘The Royals Uncensored’
The episode was hosted by Jo Elvin and featured several guests talking about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex coming back to the U.K.
“In studio, we have co-host and royal butler Grant Harrold, of course, plus some extra special guests today: NBC royal commentator Daisy McCandrew, entertainment and royal reporter at news.com.au, Brontë Coy, and royal journalist and author Robert Jobson,” Elvin said during the opening.
The guests discussed why Harry and Meghan have struggled to build a successful life in the U.S. The episode also featured a poll asking viewers whether they wanted the couple to return to the U.K.
“On our socials, we asked, ‘Do you want Harry and Meghan back in the U.K.?’ Look at that figure. 88% said no,” Elvin announced during the show.
