Patton Oswalt’s brand-new hour, EFFERVESCENT, arrives at The Colonial Theatre in Keene on Friday, 26 June 2026. The show is set for 7:00 PM–9:00 PM, with tickets priced at $45–$65 and event support listed by the venue at (603) 352-2033 and boxoffice@thecolonia

A person’s best material doesn’t just land—it detonates. On Friday, 26 June 2026, Patton Oswalt is bringing that kind of momentum to Keene as he takes the stage in EFFERVESCENT.

The show will run from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM at The Colonial Theatre—Keene. Ticket prices are listed at $45–$65.

This new hour is being framed as something unmistakably Oswalt: an apocalyptic. pop-culture comedy that leans into the uncomfortable truth of where he is now—“older. ” “way less wise. ” and “going through some stuff. ” according to the event description. The pitch is blunt and playful at the same time: “Come see the hilarious train wreck.” The message also carries a sense of urgency—“He’ll be dead in thirty or forty years so this might be your last chance to catch him.”.

Oswalt’s recent work has fed that same tone across entertainment. His most recent comedy special, We All Scream—also his directorial debut—launched on Netflix last September. He was recently nominated for a Grammy for his comedy album. Last year. he starred in the Magnolia Pictures comedy I Love My Dad. which won the Grand Jury and Audience awards at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival.

At the theatre level, the event is supported by The Colonial Theatre—Keene, with the venue contact listed as (603) 352-2033 and boxoffice@thecolonial.org.

EFFERVESCENT is being billed as a continuation of Oswalt’s distinctive fingerprint across comedy specials and television guest roles. but it’s also presented as its own moment—an hour with the expectation that people won’t just watch. they’ll feel like they’re catching something while it’s still happening.

  1. So it’s like… apocalypse pop-culture comedy? I don’t get why they keep saying he’ll be dead in 30 or 40 years like that’s normal marketing. Also 7pm to 9pm means he’s on stage for like 30 minutes max, right? lol

  2. Wait is this the same guy from Netflix who did that special “We All Scream”? Because I thought he was already like super old, so “older way less wise” is just?? Idk I might still go if it’s at The Colonial Theatre, my friend said that place has terrible sound but whatever.

  3. Patton Oswalt bringing an “effervescent” apocalyptic train wreck… sounds like they’re trying to say it’s edgy but it’s just gonna be the same bits about comedy and being depressed. $45–$65 is basically concert pricing now. Also the contact info has like two different emails/typos in my head, not sure if boxoffice@thecolonia is right or if it’s thecolonial.org. Either way, June 26 2026 feels far but tickets will sell out fast, I guess.
