Paris Jackson posted video updates on Instagram after fans said her neck looked “weird,” getting an ultrasound and reassuring followers that her bloodwork was normal and her vocal cords showed only slight redness.
Paris Jackson didn’t wait for the speculation to grow. On May 16, she shared video from an ultrasound appointment to address worries that had been circulating after fans pointed out something unusual about her neck.
In her Instagram Stories, Jackson explained the reason for the scan in plain terms: “Getting an ultrasound to check out my lymphs since y’all pointed out how weird my neck looked on my last post.”
Hours later, she returned with another update, this time reacting directly to the intensity of what people were saying. “A bunch of people pointed out that my neck looks f****** weird in the last video that I posted…I have someone come to my rehearsal studio and do an ultrasound on my throat.”
The singer said she’d also recently had her blood tested, and that the results came back normal. She added that she reviewed an older video and noticed her neck looked the same way as it does in the more recent clips. “My neck just does weird s*** when I talk… I think this is just my neck. and y’all are freaking me out. ” she wrote.
The timing mattered. Jackson had been preparing for her upcoming performance at the 2026 BottleRock Napa Valley festival, but the attention on her appearance left her unsettled enough to keep returning to the story with fresh reassurance.
Shortly after her first follow-up, she posted yet another update about what the scan showed. She told fans there was nothing unusual with her throat beyond “the slightest amount of redness on [her] vocal cords,” adding, “there’s no calluses.”
Jackson then tried to connect the visible changes to the everyday work behind her voice. explaining. “The reason my neck looks as weird as it does is just because I have exercised those muscles from singing for so long. and that just happens with singers. It’s just more obvious in me because I am skinny.”.
As she focused on her well-being, Jackson also continued to look ahead to what’s next in her music. She is set to launch her newest project, ‘Teenage Drama,’ in late May. She recently released her song “Teenage Drama” on May 22.
In January. Jackson shared an Instagram post about her health and recovery. writing in the caption that she opened up about struggles with her past alcohol and drug addiction. as well as mental health disorders. “Getting sober ain’t always the indication that life is perfect… I had to learn to live life on life’s terms. Sounds like she did the right thing getting checked, but also why were y’all zooming in on her neck in the first place. Bloodwork normal is good though.
Wait so they ultrasound her throat but she said lymphs? Isn’t that like the same area? Also “slight redness” could be from literally anything, like allergies or vaping? Not saying it’s bad, just weird wording.
I hate how fans always act like they’re doctors. The article says vocal cords slight redness but no calluses so I’m supposed to feel relieved?? Neck muscles from singing?? She’s skinny so it shows more… okay but still I’m like dang I hope it’s not something serious behind the scenes. BottleRock 2026 already and now this, what a mess.
