Jamal Morton, known online as J’Amore, announced that his 2-year-old daughter, Sadé Rose, died after falling into or entering a swimming pool in Hoschton, Georgia. The post came with images and a GoFundMe message that have since been deleted, while Morton’s ma
He posted a photo of a girl in a Peppa Pig-themed moment—smiling, leaning toward a cake set for a second birthday. Then, a few days later, he wrote the sentence no parent ever wants to write: “I lost my daughter.”
Jamal Morton, 33, a Georgia parenting influencer known online as J’Amore, shared images on social media of his 2-year-old daughter, Sadé Rose, and a message remembering her as “the best daughter a father could ever ask for.”
In a GoFundMe page Morton created, he said, “I lost my daughter. She thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself. She walked out of the house and got into the pool, where she drowned.” He added, “Losing a child is a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.”
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a home in Hoschton on Sunday. In a statement provided to MISRYOUM, it confirmed “there was a death at the residence, which appears to be accidental in nature.”
Morton later shared a video Tuesday with a text overlay that read “RIP” to his 1.1 million TikTok followers. In that clip, Sadé Rose is smiling and leaning over her Peppa Pig-themed cake as she blows out candles on what his post described as her second birthday.
Morton also said he hated posting the image and that his followers would not be seeing him for a while because he has to take a break. In the message that accompanied the video. he wrote: “I hope heaven is real because I can’t imagine you being all alone by yourself. So God, if you’re real, please watch over my baby. Rest in peace, my sweet angel. Daddy loves you forever, Rose.”.
The days that followed came with sudden deletions. The TikTok video, and another announcement on Instagram with photos and videos of Sadé Rose, have since been deleted. The GoFundMe campaign has also been taken down. A Facebook post with the announcement remained up.
No direct comment arrived from Morton himself. Representatives for Morton did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Instead, Morton’s management team stepped in. In a statement posted Wednesday on Facebook. the management team said Morton “would no longer be posting or responding to messages. ” and that it would take over his platforms “while he and his family take time to grieve the heartbreaking loss of their baby girl.”.
In the statement connected to the now-deleted fundraiser. Morton had also asked strangers to “Please send us home.” He wrote. “We have to move away because we can’t live in that house anymore. and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to work anytime soon. ” language that made the crisis feel immediate—less a distant tragedy and more a life that has been forced to change direction.
Morton’s online career is built on comedy skits and family-focused content for millions of viewers. He has more than 1.1 million followers on TikTok, over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, and 2.3 million followers on Facebook.
A few facts sit side by side in the story as it’s been shared: a 2-year-old’s birthday moment. a pool described as a place she “could swim all by herself. ” a sheriff’s office confirmation that the death “appears to be accidental in nature. ” and then the quiet that followed the posts—videos removed. fundraising taken down. and a management message saying Morton will not be answering messages as he grieves.

That’s so tragic. I don’t even know what to say.
How you let a toddler just get out and in the pool like that?? Not trying to be rude but that’s wild. Also deleting the GoFundMe stuff seems sketchy to me, like why post then take it down. RIP either way though.
I think people are missing the point. It says accidental and like, kids are fast and you blink and it’s over. I feel bad for him, but I also don’t get why he was posting birthday/cake pics if this is gonna end like that. Idk just horrible.
Sounds like he said she could swim all by herself… which, why would you even think a 2-year-old can like that? Pools are no joke. And “appears to be accidental” makes it sound like they don’t know yet? I’m just confused how it’s accidental but he basically already told the story. Praying for the family though.
