Packers’ Josh Jacobs arrested; five domestic abuse charges

The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in Hobart, Wis., announced the charges in a press release. The department said the charges were laid after police attended to a disturbance complaint on Saturday morning.
Jacobs was arrested Tuesday. He has been charged with: battery — domestic abuse; criminal damage to property — domestic abuse; disorderly conduct — domestic abuse; strangulation and suffocation; and intimidation of a victim.
A statement included with the announcement says Jacobs vehemently denies the allegations. It also states the matter is in the early stages of investigation and that “important evident that has not yet been made public” has not been presented. The statement, attributed to David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac, adds: “We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”.
Jacobs, 27, has spent the last two seasons with the Packers after beginning his career playing five years for the Raiders. In 2025, he rushed for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns in 15 games.
The charges mark a sudden and serious turn for Jacobs, with legal proceedings now set to determine what happens next.
