Coughlan. who has appeared on every season of Netflix’s hit period drama “Bridgerton. ” takes center stage in Season 3 as the love interest to Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton. Whittaker also brings “Doctor Who” history to the London mystery. She made history as the first woman to portray the iconic Time Lord. taking over the role from Peter Capaldi in 2017. and leading the show across three seasons and several specials. Her most recent credits include Netflix’s “Office Romance. ” alongside Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. and she portrayed Sam in ITV’s “Frauds.” Whittaker is repped by Independent Talent Group and Cognition.
Jim Broadbent—known to Harry Potter fans for playing Horace Slughorn—earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his 2001 film “Iris.” Broadbent has never played the Doctor in the official BBC “Doctor Who” series. though he did play the Eleventh Doctor in the “The Curse of Fatal Death” spoof and other special broadcasts. He most recently was seen in the films “Jay Kelly” and “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” In TV. Broadbent won an Emmy for his performance in “The Street.” He’s repped by Independent Talent Group and CAA.
Richard Ayoade was recently seen on film in Wes Anderson’s “The Phoenician Scheme” and “The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar.” On television. he’s tied to his BAFTA-winning role of Maurice Moss in “The IT Crowd.” Upcoming.
