One of the biggest bands in the world is playing Golden Gate Park in 2027

Slipknot is on its way back to the Bay.

The Iowa rock act, which easily ranks as one of the five greatest metal acts in the world today, is set to perform the next installment in Another Planet Entertainment’s Golden Gate Park Concerts series (which take place right around the same time as the Outside Lands festival).

Slipknot performs Aug. 15 at the Polo Field in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

The show is part of Slipknot’s massive (sic)est Tour, which is produced by Live Nation, and it’s the band’s first headlining set in the Bay Area in more than eight years.

And Slipknot is bringing along some topnotch support acts to Golden Gate Park: Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless In White and Loathe.

Slipknot tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Oct. 2, GoldenGateParkConcerts.com and Ticketmaster.com. There are also artist presales beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 29 and an Another Planet Entertainment presale starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 30.
