Olivia Rodrigo, already deep in her “sad lover girl” era, has confirmed that her third album era is headed toward live shows. The pop star shared the news with fans on April 30, announcing she will embark on her Unraveled Tour in September 2026.

“I am so so excited to announce The Unraveled Tour!!!” Rodrigo captioned an Instagram post. She added. “I am counting down the days till I get to sing all of the songs from ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ with u guys!!!. Presale begins Tuesday, May 5th, and general onsale starts Thursday, May 7th @ 12PM local.”.

The tour confirmation arrives after Rodrigo teased the rollout in a very specific way: on April 6. she posted four Instagram videos of herself strapping pink heart-shaped locks to fences and bridges in London. Paris. New York. and Los Angeles. It’s the same kind of detail that fans tend to chase—because it felt like an introduction to something bigger than a single moment.

The album itself is coming soon. Olivia’s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is set for release on June 12, 2026. The lead single, “Drop Dead,” dropped on April 17, 2026, and the second single, “The Cure,” arrived on May 22.

After the initial tease, the rollout moved from symbolic to loud. Later that month, Rodrigo surprised Coachella fans by joining Addison Rae during her Weekend 2 set to perform “Drop Dead” live for the first time.

The album also comes with an extra layer of expectation from listeners who have been following Rodrigo’s personal life. Fans have been circling rumors about a reported breakup from Louis Partridge, which surfaced late last year. Neither Rodrigo nor Partridge has publicly commented on their split; they dated from late 2023 to late 2025. While the speculation continues, Rodrigo has kept her focus on the songs.

In her April 2026 British Vogue cover story. she said her third album includes “sad love songs.” She explained that she realized many of her favorite romantic tracks felt beautiful because they carried “a tinge of fear or yearning.” Rodrigo described it as a creative challenge: “It was a creative challenge to write from a joyful place. When you’re experiencing that you’re connected to someone. or feeling really good. you’re not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems!”.

She also tied the writing to a mindset she says she once had—that “the second I’m in a really great relationship, I’m gonna start feeling good about myself and this stuff is going to fall into place, but it just doesn’t work like that.”

London, in particular, has a starring role in the record. Rodrigo said she “found a lot of inspiration from being in London,” adding, “I’ve spent so much time here over the course of making this album,” and that it has “a lot of songs that are London vibes, about experiences that I’ve had here.”

The pieces fit together fast: heart-lock visuals across major cities on April 6. a lead single release on April 17. a major performance moment during Coachella Weekend 2. and now a September 2026 tour confirmation paired with clear presale and general onsale timing—presale beginning Tuesday. May 5. and general onsale starting Thursday. May 7 at 12PM local—right before the June 12 release lands.
