Olivia Rodrigo calls out Donald Trump over Planned Parenthood funding cuts, vows ‘we’ll never stop fighting’
Olivia Rodrigo has joined a new Planned Parenthood campaign criticizing President Donald Trump’s funding cuts to reproductive health care.
Rodrigo appeared in a new social media campaign, shared by Daisy Chain Fields, that criticizes the administration’s funding cuts and vows the fight for reproductive health care is “far from over.”
The clip opens with a group of women standing silently as Rodrigo lip-syncs to her song “My Way,” and the on-screen text reads: “Learning that nearly 30 Planned Parenthood health centers have closed since President Donald Trump signed a law ‘defunding’ Planned Parenthood.”
The clip then shifts into a celebratory dance sequence as new text appears: “But we’ll never stop fighting for s**ual and reproductive health care!!!”
Rodrigo has long supported Planned Parenthood. In 2025, the organization honored her with its Catalyst of Change Award.
The non-profit’s CEO, Alexis McGill Johnson, praised Rodrigo in a statement shared with Billboard.
“It means the world to us that Olivia is so deeply engaged in the fight for abortion rights — especially when access to the care Planned Parenthood health centers provide is threatened like never before,” Johnson said.
She added, “Olivia using her platform to work with Planned Parenthood goes so far in educating people about reproductive freedom and the essential care Planned Parenthood health centers provide and the ways they themselves can work to protect it.”
Planned Parenthood is among the largest reproductive health care providers in the United States. In addition to abortion care, Planned Parenthood provides contraception, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, prenatal and postpartum care and other reproductive health services.
More than 2 million people rely on its network each year, but its finances took a significant hit after Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which barred Medicaid reimbursements to organizations that provide abortions except in limited circumstances.
The non-profit challenged the provision in court, but the legal challenge ultimately failed and the ruling forced the team to reshape its national network.
The impact has already been felt in several states. According to a recent report from The Michigan Independent, Planned Parenthood of Michigan permanently closed its Lansing, Livonia and Warren health centers.
The organization lost $4.2 million in patient care reimbursement and family planning funding over the past fiscal year. Patients who relied on those clinics must now travel farther for services that require in-person appointments.
