So is this like another insurance company thing?
Novanta buying Riverpoint Medical sounds cool but also kinda scary? Like who’s watching the data when it’s all precision medicine and robotics and stuff. Hope patients aren’t the guinea pigs.
Wait Riverpoint Medical is the one making those surgery robots right? Or is Novanta just buying them for the name. I’m not sure why this needs to be a big Nasdaq headline tbh, sounds more like a merger for rich people than real healthcare.
Every time I see “precision manufacturing” and “extreme precision” I feel like it means it’ll cost way more for regular folks. Also, if they’re expanding medical tech, does that mean more layoffs at local hospitals? They say “customers’ success” but I never see patients in that part.
