The San Francisco 49ers are eight days away from their trip to the land down under. Yet fans are wondering about the health of tight end George Kittle and edge rusher Nick Bosa. The latter helped drop an update that’ll turn heads among the 49ers Faithful.
Bosa shared where things stand via 49ers insider David Lombardi of The San Francisco Standard Wednesday.
“Nick Bosa says that, after today’s return to practice and team drills went well, he’s confident that he will play Week 1,” Lombardi posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.
Bosa himself addressed his health among a plethora of reporters.

But he also showed that his edge rush speed is ready to get unleashed against the rival Los Angeles Rams down in Melbourne, Australia.

The All-Pro is coming back from his second career ACL tear. But this one coming during the third week of the 2025 season. So he ended up joining linebacker Fred Warner, plus fellow edge rusher Mykel Williams as notable season-ending injuries.
But now Bosa and the aforementioned teammates look ready to return from their personal NFL Injury. And their presence comes in handy against a trending Super Bowl contender. Notably one who brings back a familiar thorn to the 49ers: Aaron Donald, who re-signed to a one-year, $20 million deal to come out of retirement.
Donald joins a loaded Rams defense that traded for former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie. But Donald’s interest in returning grew once the Rams pulled off the blockbuster trade to land Cleveland Browns All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett.
Now both Garrett and McDuffie make their Rams debuts on Sept. 10 with Bosa and company on the other side.
