Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has come under fire from NFL fans after a video surfaced showing him getting cozy on the practice field with his fiancee, pop star Madison Beer.
The viral clip, which amassed millions of views within hours of being posted online, showed the newly engaged couple sitting together on the sidelines during the Chargers’ training camp session.
In the footage, the 28-year-old quarterback and the singer can be seen sitting in each other’s laps, gazing into each other’s eyes and stroking each other’s hair while resting on the grass.
While many pop music fans swooned over the affectionate display, vocal football fans took to social media to blast the franchise star, questioning his focus as Los Angeles prepares for the upcoming 2026 season.
‘This is embarrassing bro why are you doing this in the middle of the field lmao you can’t find a private place?,’ one frustrated fan wrote on X.
‘Why do they always turn training camp into their personal makeout sesh? Nobody cares about your mid PDA, keep that s*** private,’ another disgruntled user wrote.

Herbert, who has historically kept his private life strictly out of the spotlight, admitted during a recent media session that proposing to Beer was ‘for sure’ more nerve-racking than making his first career NFL start.
Speaking on the SiriusXM NFL Radio Training Camp Tour, Herbert opened up about the impact Beer has had on his life heading into his seventh professional season.

On Monday, Beer was seen showing off her huge diamond ring during an outing in Los Angeles, just days after they announced their engagement.
Beer, who has been dating the NFL star for around a year, wore a white hoodie, grey bike shorts, white socks and black penny loafers on her trip.
And she couldn’t resist flashing her new piece of hardware to the cameras as she walked away from her car.
