New Oni Press Series “Artists From The Abyss” Will Celebrates EC Comics Legends – The Fandomentals
Oni Press, and William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. have announced that December’s edition of Artists From The Abyss, EC’s next artist-centric celebration of its “boldest and bloodiest” talents… , will spotlight multiple Eisner Award winner David Lapham (Stray Bullets, Detective Comics).
Re-presenting Lapham’s greatest and goriest contributions to the new EC Comics canon – featuring “taut tales of tension and terror” penned by collaborators J. Holtham (EC’s Cruel Universe), Matt Kindt (BRZRKR), Joe R. Lansdale (Jonah Hex: Two-Gun Mojo), and more – for the first time between two covers, this special also features a brand-new, never-before-seen EC shocker illustrated by Lapham and co-written by his wife Maria Lapham (Underheist).
Beginning with November’s Artists From The Abyss: Charlie Adlard #1, each Artists From The Abyss special will recollect the “greatest hits” from a different maestro of the macabre – including Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead), David Lapham (Stray Bullets), Sami Kivelä (The Forever Home), and Leomacs (Benjamin) – alongside an all-new tale specifically scripted for each one-shot special by a cavalcade of “all-slaughter” writing talents, including Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine, That Texas Blood), Greg Pak (Planet Hulk), and Ben H. Winters (Archie).
The first four Artists From The Abyss specials will be released monthly throughout the coming winter – stay warm by curling up and throwing someone you love onto the bonfire, while you read each of these eye-popping issues.
