Fans noticed the LIV golfer and former Canadian hockey player Mikayla Demaiter may be an item. Tongues started wagging after LIV Golf New York at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster when the 26-year-old social media star was seen at the tournament while wearing a LIV pass around her neck, according to the U.K.’s Sun. Demaiter was also spotted wearing a Crushers GC hat — DeChambeau’s team for LIV Golf.

Demaiter attracted more attention when she took a selfie this week in a closet full of sneakers and hats, and fans began to wonder if she was at the two-time U.S. Open champ’s home when she did so.

Demaiter also posted a picture of a golf course on her Instagram page on Sunday.

No confirmation, or denial

Neither DeChambeau, 32, nor Demaiter, 26, confirmed if anything was going on between them.

Demaiter was a goalie for the Bluewater Hawks in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League Junior League. She retired at 19 due to injury and pursue a career in modelling and social media. She has more than three million followers on Instagram.

DeChambeau is one of her followers, and has evidently been single for years. His last relationship was with Hunter Nugent, a former golfer at the University of Texas. They reportedly split in September 2022.

DeChambeau’s had a lousy year on the links. He missed the cut at the Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open before finishing tied for 14th at the Open Championship in July. He got a two-shot penalty for “inadvertently improving the area of his intended swing” in the second round.
